Natural Organic Waste:
Leaves and sticks that get stuck in gaps inhibit ventilation, natural movement and retain moisture.
A high pressure hose is effective in removing this natural and often unavoidable waste. Do this
once a month to keep your deck looking its best.

Stubborn Stains:
The best way to keep your deck free from stubborn stains is to clean them off as soon as they
occur, giving them no time to be absorbed.
A cleaner containing oxalic acid, commonly known as deck brighteners, can be used to remove
these stains. In order to achieve desired results, the cleaner may need to sit on the stain for up to
15 minutes prior to rinsing. Chimiver Intensive Cleaner can be used for this kind of use.

Mould and Mildew:
If debris, such as pollen and dirt, is allowed to remain on the deck surface, mould can feed on the
biofilm. Using a hose and warm, soapy water with a soft bristle brush is recommended to remove
the food source and mould.

Oil and Grease Stains:
Household degreasing agents should be used to remove the oil and grease stain as soon as the
stain is noticed. Use a soft bristle brush to remove spills from embossing pattern if needed. Be
sure to thoroughly rinse the detergent off the deck with hot water.

Using a Pressure Washer:
A Pressure washer with no greater than 80 bar that has a fan attachment/adjustment and soap
dispenser may be used to remove dirt, concrete dust, or other types of construction dirt.
Spray deck with soap, then follow by gently scrubbing each deck board with a soft bristle brush.
Spray/rinse each individual deck board using a fan tip no closer than 300mm from the decking
surface. Rinse thoroughly. If dirty water from cleaning is left to dry, this will cause a film to remain
on the decking surface.

Surface Protector:
Chimiver SCUDO WPC could be applied on decking surface after thoroughly cleaning. The
protector could only apply on decking surface when it is clean and dry.
The protector can serve as a brightener and making the decking surface looks new again. This
protector can also protect the decking surface from avoiding the formation of unaesthetic and
persistent stains due to the absorption of oil substances and dirty. It gives a slight toning effect,
excellent resistance and color stability.
